Meridian Police Department
The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests from Friday to Monday:
• Driving Under the Influence (DUI), second offense – Telly S. Portis, 39, 4500 Paulding St., Meridian. Portis also faces a charge for giving false information.
• DUI – Migael A Gonzalls-Boswell, 27, 2450 40th Ave., Meridian.
The Lauderdale County Sheriff Department reported the following arrests from Friday to Monday:
• Probation violation/Parole – Corey Tyrell Chambers, 22, 3235 Rusell Gilead Mt. Road, Meridian.
• Burglary-Dwelling house – Kisha Sherrill Dennard, 37, 2704 Valley Road, Lot 104, Meridian.
• Driving Under the Influence (DUI), second offense – Gregory James Freeman, 32, 1112 B Ave., Amory. Freeman also faces charges for driving with a suspended license and driving without liability insurance.
• Carjacking, armed – Robert Clifton Haskins, 48, 31 CR 3511, Meridian.
• DUI, first offense – Matthew Colt Herrington, 25, 8050 Allen Road, Collinsville.
• Failure to appear, two counts – Jeffrey Daniel Ivy, 29, 2806 Russell Camp Road, Meridian.
• Shoplifting, $500 or more (two counts) – Shya Sinade Miles, 23, 2014 11th Ave., Meridian.
• Petit larceny, up to $1,000 – David Anthony Monk, 29, 5255 North Hills St., Meridian
• DUI, first offense – Myron Eugene Naylor, 32, 4460 Meehan Savoy Road S., Enterprise.
• Welfare fraud-Medicaid – Ricky Naylor, 50, 2411 Second Ave., Meridian.
• DUI, first offense – Phalon Yush Smith, 42, 7691 A Espey Road, Meridian. Smith also faces charges for driving without liability insurance, driving with an expired tag, violation of seat belt law and child endangerment.
• DUI, second offense – Jessie Lee Tooles Jr., 47, 1730 Lizzie Road, Meridian. Tooles also faces charges for driving without a license, driving with a tag and driving without liability insurance.
• Failure to pay (Justice Court) – Lathein Watson, 35, 2101 Martin Luther King Drive, Meridian.
The Meridian Police Department reported the following incidents from Monday to
Tuesday:
Auto Burglary
• 5100 block of Highway 39 North. Entry gained through window.
Residential Burglary
• 3900 block of 12th Street. Entry gained through window.
Shootings
• Meridian police responded to a local emergency room concerning a gunshot victim with one gunshot wound to the stomach. This case is currently under investigation.
Shots-fired call
• Meridian police responded to 1 shots-fired call; no evidence to support the call.
