Two George Clooney films, a Brad Pitt baseball flick, a 3D Martin Scorsese fantasy, a Steven Spielberg war movie, and a book-to-screen adaption about African-American maids in the 1960s – these are the Golden Globe nominees for best motion picture drama, announced Thursday.
It was a good day to be Clooney, as the actor and director also picked up three personal Golden Globe nominations. He’s up for best director and best screenplay for “The Ides of March,” which also got a best picture nod. And he’s up for best actor for “The Descendants,” another best picture contender.
Rounding out the other best picture nominees are the Pitt-starring “Moneyball,” Scorsese’s “Hugo,” Spielberg’s “War Horse,” and “The Help.”
So which of the best picture nominees has the best shot of winning? “War Horse” hasn’t been released nationwide yet, but check out the trailer for it and the others below, then cast your vote for the best contender.
The Golden Globe Awards are scheduled for Jan. 15. Click here for a full list of nominees.
