Otis Lamar “Buddy” Johnson

    Services for Otis Lamar “Buddy” Johnson will be held today, Friday, Dec. 27, 2013 at 3 p.m. at Webb Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. C.A. Farmer officiating. Interment will be held in Concorde Cemetery in Enterprise.  James F. Webb Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements.  

     Mr. Johnson, age 78, passed away on Dec. 24, 2013 at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.  Buddy was retired from Illinois Central Railroad.  In his earlier years he enjoyed playing the guitar with family and friends. He enjoyed watching sports, building things and being outside.  One of his greatest joys was cutting the grass with his riding mower and playing with his grandchildren.

     He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Ruth Johnson; two sons, Earl Johnson and Howard Johnson (Susan); three daughters, Kristy Moffett (Kreg), Angela Kibilko (Kenny), and Billie Jean Wright (Perry); sister, Barbara Ann Davis; Brother, Edgar Earl “Bo” Johnson; and by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.  

     He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Melissa Ruth Johnson Hardy; son, Timothy Wayne Johnson; sisters, Betty Ruth Fallon, Virginia Faye Cross, Clarice Jordan, Alice Marie Jenkins, and Ruby Neal Thompson; brothers, Clarence “Pot” Johnson, Larry Wayne “Sonny” Johnson, Donald Edward “Shorty” Johnson, and James Michael “Popeye” Johnson; two grandchildren, Brandy Lynn Johnson and Melissa Ruth Johnson.                                                                                     

     Visitation will be held today, Friday, from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m., at James F. Webb Funeral Home.
