The Meridian Police Department reported the following incidents between 8 a.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. Thursday:
Residential burglaries
• Meridian Police responded to a burglary in the 1500 block of 33rd Avenue at 7:09 p.m. Wednesday. Entry was gained through a window.
• Police responded to a burglary in the 500 block of 55th Avenue at 8:51 p.m. Wednesday. Entry was gained through a door.
Fire Runs
The Lauderdale County fire departments made the following fire runs on Wednesday.
• Lost Gap, Meehan and Suqualena fire departments responded to a structure fire on Ridge Road.
• Toomsuba Volunteer Fire Department responded to an EMS call on Highway 496.
• Marion Fire Department responded to an EMS call on Lizelia Road.
• Long Creek Volunteer Fire Department responded to a motor vehicle accident with injuries on Causeyville Road.
• Marion Fire Department responded to a structure fire alarm on Forrest Drive.
