    6-7:30 p.m. — The Honorable Veldore Young will be the guest speaker for Voices of Hope: Celebrating National Minority Mental Health Awareness Month in the Fellowship Hall of New Canaan Baptist Church, 4822 26th St., in Meridian.     5 p.m. — Central Baptist Church will feature the Feature Film – Homerun – in its first Meridian showing, July 21 at 5 p.m. This Sizzlin’ Summer Movie Event will feature All American fun for the entire family: hot dogs, baseball, and homemade ice cream. This is a free event at 2511 C Street, just East of 22nd Street on C Street before the downtown bridge.

    7 p.m. — The Meridian High School Class of 1968 will be celebrating their 45th class reunion August 3 at the Holiday Inn, North Frontage Road in Meridian.
