Annie Margaret Fontan
Graveside services for Annie Margaret Fontan will be held today at 2 p.m. at Long Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Roy Dabbs officiating. James F. Webb Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Fontan, 81, of Meridian, died Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at Anderson Regional Medical Center.
Survivors include her sons: John E. Fontan of Anderson, S.C., and Joe Fontan, T.J. McCarty, and Michael McCarty, all of Meridian; daughters: Ruth Cheek of North Carolina, Melvin Ann Brand of Collinsville, and Bobbie Fontan, and Donna McCarty, both of Meridian; 20 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and a brother, Elmer Lee of Connecticut.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Fontan; son, William Bruce Fontan; her parents, William Guy and Lillie Sims Lee; three brothers; and, three sisters.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons.

Beatrice Hopson
Services for Beatrice Hopson will be held today at 2 p.m. at Clark Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Willie Gibbs officiating. Burial will be in the Pack Cemetery with Clark’s Memorial Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.–
Ms. Hopson, 71, of Toomsuba, died Saturday, May 11, 2013, at Rush Foundation Hospital.
Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
Barbara Ann Speed
QUITMAN – Services for Barbara Ann Speed will be held today at 3 p.m. at Pine Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Claude Killian officiating. Burial will be in the Pine Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with Wright’s Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Speed, 72, of Enterprise, died Wednesday, May 15, 2013, at Rush Foundation Hospital in Meridian.
Survivors include her sons: Jimmy Speed and wife Vickie, Andy Speed and wife Jodi, and John Speed; daughter, Charleen (Missy) Valverde and husband Arthur; and, grandsons: Art Valverde, Grant Valverde and Jimmy Speed Jr.
Pallbearers will be Arthur Valverde Sr., Arthur Valverde Jr., Grant Valverde, Phillip Speed, Barry Kidd and Johnny Speed.

Mrs. Carr, 91, of Meridian, died Wednesday, May 15, 2013, at James T. Champion Nursing Facility.
Visitation will be Sunday from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
Voncille F. Dunn
Graveside services for Voncile F. Dunn will be held Monday at 1:30 p.m., at Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery in Andalusia, Ala. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Dunn, 96, of Pachuta, died Thursday, May 16, 2013, at Lakeside Living Center in Quitman. She was born on May 30, 1916, in Alabama to W.D. Flowers and Rosa Ella Nixon Flowers. Mrs. Dunn was a member of the Meridian Church of Christ.
Survivors include her daughter, Betty Dunn McKenna and her husband Steve of Pachuta; eight grandchildren: Steve McKenna Jr., Charles McKenna and wife Wendy, Kathleen Billings and husband Tracy, Mark McKenna and wife Kay, Daniel McKenna, Teresa Sandman and husband Scott, and Christopher McKenna and wife Debby; great-grandchildren: Steve III and Jennifer McKenna, Summer and Hunter McKenna, Ragan and Elizabeth Billings, Benjamin and Camille McKenna, Coy McKenna, Alexa and Anna Sandman and Logan McKenna; three great-great-grandchildren: Nicole and Autumn Marie and Steve IV; and sister-in-law, Nell Armbuster.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Sanford C. Dunn; son, Billy C. Dunn; and her parents, W.D. Flowers and Rosa Ella Nixon Flowers.
