Miss Herron

    Mr. and Mrs. Charles Raymond Herron III of Meridian announce the engagement of their daughter, Elizabeth Ann, to John Robert Montgomery, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. John Robert Montgomery and Mrs. Janie Strickland Montgomery of Birmingham, Ala. Miss Herron is also the daughter of the late Susan Broom Herron.

    The wedding will be held on Saturday, June 8, 2013, at 7 p.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Birmingham.

    Miss Herron is the granddaughter of the late Judge and Mrs. Vernon Herrin Broom, the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Raymond Herron Jr. and the late Mr. and Mrs. Aron Haywood Hooker.

    The bride-elect received a bachelor’s degree in marketing and communications from the University of Mississippi. She is a graduate of Meridian High School.

    While at Ole Miss, she was a member of Kappa Delta sorority.

    Miss Herron is a senior sales consultant with Bayer Healthcare.

    Mr. Montgomery is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Ewart Strickland, Mr. and Mrs. John Edward Montgomery III of Birmingham and the late Eleanor Moffat Montgomery.

    The bridegroom-elect received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Auburn University. He is a graduate of Mountain Brook High School.

    While attending Auburn, he was a member of Phi Delta Theta fraternity and served as chapter president.

    Mr. Montgomery is employed by Southland Tube, Inc., where he serves as vice president and general manager.

    A reception will be held at The Club following the ceremony.
