Middle East activity builds to divide land

Global militant Islamic organizations consistently war and kill their own people without cause or reason even though the victims are Muslim believers.  Syrian against Syrians, Egyptian against Egyptians and others like Iranian against Iranians. Matthew wrote that a major sign of the end of the age will be that we “hear of wars and rumors of wars” and for decades we have read about it in the Meridian Star.

These Muslim followers who are called peaceable by politicians and the media continue to do battle with their own people. And, they claim to be descendants of Abraham.

The Bible continues to amaze me with the unbelievable accuracy even though the creation of God is so diverse. The angel of the LORD said to Hagar, Isaac’s half-brother, “You shall name him Ishmael.” Genesis 16:12 then states, “He will be a wild donkey of a man; his hand will be against everyone and everyone’s hand against him, and he will live in hostility toward all his brothers.”

From the Meridian Star page A5, 3/7/13, we read “Syrian refugees top 1 million, rebels take city.” These Syrians are refugees from war who are running to live and not be killed by Syrians. Brother against brother living in hostility.

In a companion article titled, “UN says 20 peacekeepers detained on the Golan Heights” we observe a media report that hatred and thievery continues to thrive in Syria. “In the increasingly volatile zone separating Israeli and Syrian troops on the Golan Heights,” the area has no place of refuge and safety.

Golan, from the Hebrew word pronounced go-lawn, meaning captive, was located in the eastern territory of the tribe of Manasseh, east of the Jordan River.  The geographic boundaries are located within Mount Hermon to the north, the Yarmuk River to the east, the Yarmuk River to the south, and the Sea of Galilee to the west. Why is this important? “Moses set apart three cities in the east beyond the Jordan, that any manslayer … who kills his neighbor unintentionally” may flee to one of these cities to save his life. Golan in Bashan was for the Manassites. (Deuteronomy 4:41-43) However, Golan is no longer a place of peace and safety.

The Golan Heights was given to Abraham, to Isaac and to Jacob thousands of years before the 1967 war. Satan has continually warred with God in an attempt to divide the Land and to make God a liar.

Obama has pledged to the Palestinians that he will press Israel to swap land for peace. The European Union (EU) declared: “If there is to be a genuine peace, a way must be found through negotiations to resolve the status of Jerusalem as the future capital of two states.”

Daniel wrote 530 years before Christ in chapter 11:39 that the ruler of the last days, the Anti-Christ, the One World Leader, “shall divide the land for a price.”   This will come in the future as the explosion of the Middle East continues.

God’s word is clear as he says in Joel 3:2, “I will gather all nations and execute judgment upon them for their treatment of My people, Israel, and because they have divided My land.” This is a warning to our Nation and we are admonished in Revelation 3:22, “He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says unto the churches.”
