The Rev. and Mrs. Kendall Poole (Mrs. Poole is the former Dena F. Temple)

    Dena F. Temple of Daleville and the Rev. Kendall Poole of Brookhaven were married Saturday, Oct. 15, 2011, at El Bethel Baptist Church in Meridian, with the Rev. Ronnie Poole officiating.

    Parents of the couple are John L. and Hazel A. Temple of Daleville, Mrs. Alean Elery of Brookhaven and the Rev. and Mrs. Ronnie Poole of Brookhaven.

    Grandparents of the bride are Mary J. Adams of Daleville, the late Monroe W. Blanks of Daleville and Linnie Blanks of Blackwater, and the late Earlie Temple Sr. and the late Tilla Temple of Bailey.

    Grandparents of the bridegroom are the late Willie Poole Sr. and the late Shelly Poole, and the late Sherman McCall and the late Emily McCall, all of Brookhaven.

    Music for the ceremony was provided by Andrew Towner, keyboard and vocalist; Tony Temple, bass guitar; and, Lillian Lilly, vocalist.

    The bride was given in marriage by her son, Wayna Morris, and her father, John L. Temple. She wore an ivory satin French-cut organza gown featuring a centered V-neckline which extended to open shoulders. Crystals and sequins adorned the gown from center to under the bust. A symmetrically fitted bodice and dropped waistline extended into an A-line designed vertical gown, highlighted by an extended flared train. She wore a crystal tier and matching jewelry accessories.

    Maid of honor was Hazel C. Clark of Bailey.

    Bridesmaids were Sonja Scarbrough, Jamie Buxton, Monica Lewis, Beverly Patrick and Latoryla White, all of Meridian; Camilla Temple of Daleville; Dana Gale of Bailey; Christina Kyles of Oklahoma City, Okla.; Regina Quarles of Brookhaven; Angela Temple of Brandon; and Michelle Graham of Kemper Springs.

    Flower girls were Jaletha Clark of Bailey, Kaitlin Poole of Brookhaven and Alisha Temple of Hattiesburg. Jermario Hersey of Bailey was ring bearer.

    John Hilbert of McComb and Jamie Jackson of Brookhaven served as best men.

    Groomsmen were Lamont Jackson of St. Louis, Mo.; Cedric Poole and Michael Cook, both of McComb; Timothy Montgomery, Hermon Quarles and Thomas Webb, all of Brookhaven; Terrell Stewart of Atlanta, Ga., BJ Womack of Magee; Jamie Crockwell of Brandon; Earl Blakes Jr. of Jackson; and Jonathon Temple of Daleville.

    Ushers were D’Entree’ Clark of Bailey and Timothy Collins of Meridian.

    Thomas Temple Jr. of Hattiesburg was Bible carrier. Program attendants were Telicia Gale, Pam Temple, Felicia, Jasmine Giles, Kadeydra Houston, Chantel Quarles and Marilyn Hunter.

    A reception was held at Hamasa Shrine Building in Marion. Assisting at the reception were Alice Drummond, Brittnay Drummond, Uretha Drummond, Marlicia Gale, Ariel Jimerson, Kaneshia Overstreet, Cilene Stallworth, LaShundra Temple, Sandra Scarbrough and Vi Towner.

    After a honeymoon on the Gulf Coast, the couple resides in Brookhaven.
