Beginning at 10:30 a.m., a Fall Fest Car, Truck & Bike Show will be hosted by The Head Turnerz Car Club. The event is destined to be a fun day for the whole family, said Linda Lavalais, school liaison for the local Boys & Girls Club.

“It’s going to be great. We’re going to have the car, truck and bike show, plus we’ll have face painting and inflatables (jumpers), and food,” Lavalais said.

While admission to the event is free, proceeds from concession stand sales will go toward the purchase of uniforms for the club’s football teams, cheerleader and dance squads.

The Boys and Girls Club has 22 football teams, two in each of four age divisions – 5-6, 7-8, 9-10 and 11-12 – as well as cheerleaders and dancers for each age division. The football teams play against each, as well as others in the local area.

“Their uniforms are so expensive,” Lavalais said. “And Head Turnerz is hosting this event to help out the club.”

The games won’t be the day’s only competitive event.

Vehicles by Chrome Addicts, Presidential Ryders and Hypnotyzed Ryders will compete for trophies in several categories: Biggest Wheels, Wettest Paint, Best Interior, Sound Competition, Baddest Female Car, Best Truck/SUV, Best Old/New Skool, Best Sports Car and Best Overall. Judging will begin at 3 p.m.
