Trustmark announces retirements

    Trustmark National Bank, Meridian, announces the upcoming retirement of three tenured associates.

    Billy W. Estes, president of Trustmark’s Meridian market stated, “Joyce Neal, Steve Dyess and Sue Joiner together represent over 88 years of dedicated service to their customers. They may retire knowing that each has made a remarkable contribution to the lives of their colleagues, customers and community. The Trustmark family wishes each one well on a richly-deserved retirement.”

    Joyce Neal, a vice president and retail banker, will retire on Sept. 28. Neal began her career with Uni-First in 1985, which became a part of Trustmark in 1990. Neal, a native of Brandon, earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree from Alcorn State University. Active in her community, Neal has served as a United Way board member, East Mississippi Business Development ambassador chair, American Cancer Society chair, Meridian Civitan Club president and secretary of the Meridian Lauderdale County Tourism Bureau. She and her husband, Samuel, have two daughters and are members of Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church where she is the chairman of finances.  

    Steve Dyess, senior vice president and commercial banker, will retire on Oct. 31. He began his career in the financial industry with First United Bank in 1986, which merged with Trustmark in 1989.  He is a native of Waynesboro. Dyess holds an Associates degree in Banking from Jones Community College and attended the University of Southern Mississippi. He is a graduate of the Mississippi School of Banking at the University of Mississippi and the Graduate School of Banking at Louisiana State University. Dyess is a member of the American Institute of Banking, served as Lions Club president and has two children.

    Sue Joiner, a senior teller at the Meridian Main Branch, will retire on Nov. 30. Joiner began her banking career with First United Bank in 1977. She continued to serve the financial community after the 1989 merger of First United Bank and Trustmark. Joiner has been an active participant in the March of Dimes and Relay for Life. She has two sons. Sue and her husband, Donald G. Joiner are members of Corinth Baptist Church, where she is an assistant adult Sunday School teacher.
