- Mr. and Mrs. Dustin Davenport
The families of Demi and Dustin Davenport are pleased to announce the celebration of their wedding vows.
Demi is the daughter of the late Selita Williams of Philadelphia, and Paul and Barbara Haskins of Conehatta. Her grandparents are Cookie and Rodney Hendon of Philadelphia, and Martha and the late Ken Williams of Philadelphia. Her paternal grandparents are Callie Mae and the late Archie Haskins of DeKalb.
Dustin’s parents are Terry Davenport and David Rose of East Tawakani, Texas. His grandparents are Barbara Fricci of Sherman, Texas, and Kenneth Pevehouse of Oklahoma.
Demi and Dustin met in the summer of 2011. At that time, Demi was beginning her program for dental assistant at Meridian Community College in Meridian. Dustin was and is enrolled in active service of the United States Army in Fort Polk, La. They didn’t have the opportunity to plan a wedding, so they “tied the knot” in a small ceremony, all the while planning to have another ceremony at which their family and friends could be present.
One year to the date later, Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012, at 2 p.m., at Redeemer Baptist Church in House, they will celebrate their wedding vows with family and friends. A reception will follow at the church. All family and friends are invited to attend.
A few days after the ceremony, Dustin and Demi will depart for Velsick, Germany, where Dustin will begin a three-year tour of duty.
