Richard and Jane Boswell of Decatur announce the engagement of their daughter, Julie Catherine, to Matthew Warren Stockton, son of Robert and Gloria Stockton of Meridian.

    The wedding will be Saturday, July 7, 2012, at 5 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Union.

    Miss Boswell is the granddaughter of Bonnie Boswell and the late Charles Boswell of Decatur and the late John and Georgia Banks of Union.

    The bride-elect earned a bachelor of science degree in elementary education from Mississippi State University. She is a graduate of East Central Community College and Union High School.

    While attending MSU, she was a member of Phi Delta Kappa sorority.

    Mr. Stockton is the grandson of Margaret Snowden and the late J.R. Warren and the late Andy and Carol Stockton of Meridian.

    The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of Meridian High School.

    Mr. Stockton is employed by Southern Pipe and Supply Co. in Meridian.

    A reception will be held in the Family Life Center of the church.

    Family and friends are invited to attend.
