Services for Billy T. Stewart will be held Saturday, at 11 a.m., at James F. Webb Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Clay Chancelor officiating. Burial will be held in Pine Hill Cemetery in with James F. Webb Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Stewart, 75, died Wednesday, May 30, 2012, at Rush Foundation Hospital. Billy had worked for the Clarke County Sheriff’s Office as a deputy and had worked as a truck driver. He had served in the Air National Guard. He was a member of Pachuta Lodge #551, a member of the Meridian Consistory Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Free Masonry, and a member of Hamasa Shriners.
Survivors include his wife, Amelia Stewart; his former wife, Betty Stewart; children: Billy Gene Stewart (Suzanne), Samuel Christopher Stewart (Shelby), Linda Kirkman (Rickey), Glenda Stone (Tony), Chris Phillips (Kyle), and Joy Melissa Stewart; grandchildren: Jerry Kirkman, Dusty Stewart, Bethany Stephens, Kayla Phillips, Tyler Phillips, Casey Kirkman, Kellye Phillips, Kristen Phillips, Carter Phillips, Micheal Stewart, Jacob Stephens, and Lacy Stone; and great-grandchildren: Noah Stewart, Zach Kirkman, Parker Kirkman, and Avery Phillips.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Alva Stewart; and by a great-grandchild, Jeremy Stewart.
