Chief Deputy Ward Calhoun of the Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department said William K. Rigdon, 18, and Cody D. Rigdon, 21, both of 245 Harper Road, Meridian, have been charged with another count of burglary each. Calhoun said this latest charge will revoke their bonds and keep the two in the Lauderdale County Adult Detention Facility until the outcome of the case is determined. Calhoun said these latest charges were the result of the ongoing investigation.
At the time of the initial arrests in April, Calhoun said Tyler M. Carney, 18, of 9194 Blizzard Road in Bailey, Tyler W. Jackson, 18, of 2689 Highway 19 South in Meridian, and John J. Kinard, 19, of 383 Briarwood Road in Meridian, were each charged with three counts of burglary along with the Rigdon brothers.
Calhoun said these arrests broke up a major burglary ring.
Two of those taken into custody were juveniles who were charged with one count of burglary to a residence, Calhoun said. They were processed through the Lauderdale County Juvenile Court system.
