Funeral Services for Robert J. “Bobby” Rutledge, Jr. will be today at 6:30 p.m. at Collier-Butler Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bob Ivey officiating. Burial will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. in Jones Chapel Church of God Cemetery, Meridian, Miss.
Mr. Rutledge, 55, of Gadsden, passed away Friday, May 4, 2012.
Mr. Rutledge was a native of Meridian and a resident of Gadsden since 1978. He was a member of Gadsden Christian Fellowship and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He enjoyed playing the guitar and was best known for his “off beat“ sense of humor and great love for music. His parents preceded him in death, Robert J. Rutledge, Sr. and Wanda Sollie Rutledge.
Survivors include his daughters, Casey Rutledge, Louisville, Ky. and Haley Rutledge, Birmingham; mother of his children and wife of 33 years, Teresa Ivey Rutledge; sisters, Debbie (Randy) Gabriel, Meridian, and Jana (Brian) Cook, Covington, La.; several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Randy Gabriel, Brian Cook, Mike Ivey, Mark Ivey, Tim Musselman and Aaron Roof.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Steve Watson, Sandy Taylor, Andy Hollis, Perry Vinson, Gary Ussery, Bill Ross, Barry Putman, Fred Gray, Gary Hodge, Jack Rush, and Larry Fountain.

The family will receive friends today from 4:30 p.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
