Local authorities are searching for a suspect who reportedly assaulted a police officer during an incident.

    Officials with the Meridian Police Department said warrants have been issued against 21-year-old Ladarius Dewayne Rush of Meridian. Rush allegedly assaulted an officer on April 18 before fleeing from the scene. The Officer received minor injuries and has since returned to work.
