A 22-year-old Tishomingo man accused in the January shooting death of his cousin will make a court appearance next week.
The Northeast Mississippi Daily Journal reports William Walden will be arraigned on Monday on a charge of murder. During his appearance, a judge will formally present the criminal charge against the suspect, who will then enter a plea of guilty or not guilty.
Walden is accused of the Jan. 20 shooting of his cousin, 30-year-old Rosa Ables, at his mother’s home in Golden.
Authorities say Walden allegedly shot his cousin in the back with a 12-gauge shotgun after the two had an argument over narcotics.
Since his arrest, Walden has been held at the Itawamba County Jail on a $1 million bond.
