A memorial service will celebrate Mrs. Curtis’ life at 2 PM Wednesday in the chapel of O’Bryant-O’Keefe Funeral Home with Reverend Jim LaBatard officiating. Private burial will follow in Meridian. Arrangements are under the direction of O’Bryant-O’Keefe Funeral Home of Pascagoula.
Mrs. Curtis age 90 of Gautier, MS died Friday, April 13, 2012 in D’Iberville, MS. Born Sept. 3, 1921 in DeSoto, County, Mississippi to the late E.P. and Ola Woods Stallings, she had been a resident of Gautier since 2009, she was a former longtime resident of Meridian. Mrs. Curtis was a homemaker and a member of the Christian faith. On Dec. 3, 1949 in Meridian, MS she married the love of her life, Johnnie E. Curtis. He preceded her in death on her birthday in 2009. She was also preceded in death by her grandson, Major Michael Green.
Among those left to continue her legacy are one daughter Jane Green of Gautier, MS; three grandchildren Hacy Green and his wife Monica of Vancleave, MS Major Scott Green and his wife Elizabeth of Birmingham, AL, Michelle LaBatard of Vancleave, MS, and five great-grandchildren.
