More than 60 people gathered at the Long Creek Community Development Club recently for the annual Sponsors and Club Dinner. 

    The Monday, April 9, 2012, event opened with the reciting of the Pledge of Allegiance, followed by a short devotional and prayer.

    After the potluck supper, the men’s quartet from Mount Horeb Baptist Church entertained the crowd,. Several door prizes were awarded before the night’s end.

    The first Yard of the Month winners for the 2012 season were announced: Larry and Linda Bradley of Mini Farm Road. 

    Long Creek Community Development Club meets the second Monday of the month, starting at 7 p.m. during summer hours. Anyone in the Long Creek community is invited to attend the next club meeting on May 14 at 4892 Zero Road. There is no charge to become a club member.

    May’s meeting will feature a guest speaker and light refreshments.
