Newk’s Express Cafe is expected to open a location in Meridian in several years.

    Newk’s has signed an agreement with James C. “Jan” Collins to open five Newk’s Express Café restaurants over the next three to five years in four cities, including Meridian. Collins is the owner of numerous Wendy’s franchises.

    The  restaurant’s menu will feature salads, baked sandwiches, California-style pizzas, soups, cakes, wine, and beer. Newk’s currently has MIssissippi locations in the greater Jackson area, Hattiesburg, the Gulf  Coast, Oxford, Starkville, Tupelo, and Southaven.
