1 JOHN 3:17 – “If anyone has material possessions and sees his brother in need but has not pity on him, how can the love of God be in him?”  Praise belongs to God as every need in 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012 has been met.  Thanks to everyone who has generously given over the years to change lives physically, financially, and spiritually.  Each week I stand in awe of God as I witness God’s provision in our lives.

Today’s need concerns seven circumstances.  The first need is a young child who had the end of three fingers cut off in an accident.  His fingers were able to be reattached but now he needs correction surgery.  The family cannot afford the copay to provide this much needed surgery.  With $250.00 we can help this child get the necessary surgery.

The second need is a lady in her fifties struggling with severe sickness.  She has worked hard her entire life and never asked for help.  The sickness has caused her to miss many days of work.  With $300.00 we can make sure her mortgage is paid until she gets over her sickness and back to work.

The third need is a couple in their forties.  The couple has sold everything they own to keep their bills paid.  They even sold their wedding rings with much regret.  The husband is thankful for a new job he is starting next week.  With $100.00 we can help this couple keep their utilities on.

The fourth need is a man in his thirties that works construction.  The weather has caused this man not to have much work available.  The company he works for has also been trying to find new jobs for their employees.  With $390.00 we can help this hard working man pay his rent and utilities.

The fifth need is a man in his forties.  The company he works for depends on jobs in order to provide work for their employees.  The company has been cutting back on hours lately with no new jobs in the future.  This has caused in extreme hardship on this man with an unpredictable pay check.  With $110.00 we can keep this man’s utilities on.

The sixth need is a couple with four children.  They have worked hard to provide a good home for their children. The husband has not been able to work due to injury.  The wife is working as many hours as she possibly can.  They are worried about having their utilities cut off.  The couple has done all they can to stay financially ahead, but the husbands injury has made it near impossible.  The husband will be going back to work soon.  With $300.00 we can help this family keep their utilities on.

The seventh need is a couple in their late fifties.  The wife is struggling with a sickness that created a near death experience.  The husband has been by his wife’s side helping her heal.  This has caused extreme financial hardship.  The husband put tending to his wife’s physical needs before their financial needs even if it meant losing their home.  The husband claims he had no choice but to be by his wife’s side during this traumatizing time.  The husband will be going back to work this week as the family gets their life back to normal.  With $1,800.00 we can help this couple keep their home.  Thank you for allowing God to show provision for these needs through your prayers and giving.

For your information- Any story I write will be after an individual has been checked out through the Wesley House Clearing Procedure.  Each individual must bring proof of I.D., pay stubs, tax records, social security for each member of the household, any child over 18 must provide income information, receiving any subsidy (food stamps, housing allowance, etc.), and proof of all outgoing bills.  There is an extensive application that proves who the people are and the situation they face.  Phone calls are placed to verify employment and information provided. The money you give will go in full to the individual if you decide to help.  God is so good, and thank you for being somebody God can use.  Please pray for each story and see if God gives you the means to help.  If God puts it on your heart, please do not use the excuse somebody else will take care of it because it might go undone.
