• The American Cancer Society is seeking additional volunteers to staff the Cancer Resource Center located at Anderson Cancer Center in Meridian. For more information on how you can make a difference in the life of a cancer patient, please call your American Cancer Society at 1-800-227-2345. Volunteer today in the fight against cancer.

• 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. – Annual Hunter’s Lunch at Lauderdale United Methodist Church in Lauderdale, MS. $7 for all you can eat. Proceeds go to local charities.
• 6:30 p.m. – The Clarke County Christian Singles invites all Singles, from all areas to their Covered Dish, Thanksgiving Celebration in Quitman, MS at 500 North Jackson Avenue, just North of Living Word Church in The Youth House.

• 11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. – Weidmann’s Restaurant will host well known Mississippi author & photographer, Philip Levin. He will sign his children’s book, Ndovu the Elephant — An African Tale. Philip L. Levin’s stories and photographs have won several awards. The photos included in this book were taken during one of his many medical missionary trips to Keumbu Kenya where he works as a volunteer physician — a portion of each book sale will be donated to the medical needs of the Kenyan population.
