Man pleads guilty to manslaughter

An Oktibbeha County man has been sentenced to serve 15 years in prison after pleading guilty to manslaughter in the beating death of another man in 2009.
The Starkville Daily News reports (http://bit.ly/rLlQcv) that Steven D. Love entered the plea this past week in circuit court. He had initially been charged with murder in the death of 68-year-old William C. Brown on Nov. 3, 2009.
Love was sentenced to 20 years in prison with five years suspended and five year probation.
Authorities say Brown died of blunt force trauma to the head at his home.
