According to Detective Dean Harper with the Meridian Police Department, at about 9 p.m. Tuesday a man was approached in the parking lot of Autozone on Highway 39.

    “The man was approached by two black males; one of them was armed with a handgun,” Harper said.

    Harper said the two suspects robbed the older victim of his money.

    “They fled the scene on foot to another location, and the incident is still under investigation, and we are working the leads that we have,” Harper said.

    The robbery victim was not harmed during the altercation.
