County Court Judge T. Larry Wilson has denied bond for a Jackson County man accused along with a woman in the March 2 shooting death of scrap-yard owner Charles Ike “Charlie” Mason Jr.
The Sun Herald reports (http://bit.ly/vzW9na ) 32-year-old Jeffery Grey Allen was brought to court Wednesday from the Central Mississippi Correctional Facility, where he’s serving time for possession of stolen property, possession of meth precursors with the intent to manufacture and grand larceny.
He had been sentenced to 15 years in those cases, with five years to serve and 10 years of post-release supervision, MDOC officials said, but a hold was placed on him after his latest charge.
Allen and his former girlfriend, 33-year-old Donna Marie Freeman, are accused of capital murder in Mason’s death.
