Raymond Stallings

Services for Raymond Stallings will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Wright’s Funeral Home Chapel, with the Revs. Harold McInnis and Dennis Coats officiating. Burial will be in McGowan’s Chapel Cemetery.
Mr. Stallings, 85, died Saturday, Oct. 15, 2011, at Regency Hospital in Meridian. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, where he served in World War II on a PT Boat in the Pacific Theater. Mr. Stallings received a Victory Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Area 3 Stars and Philippine Liberation Medal 2 stars. He was a member of Knights Valley Baptist Church.
Survivors are his wife, Mable F. Stallings; daughters, Gwen Pippin and her husband, Randy, and Debbie Pippin and her husband, Ricky; six grandchildren: Lorie Pippin, Renee Skinner and her husband, Jeremy, Jason Pippin, Jamie Pippin and his wife, Vicki, Blake Pippin and his wife, Bridgett, and Ashtyn Pippin; six great-grandchildren: Randy Harper, Lee Shoemaker and his wife, Carrie, Tyler Pippin, Joshua Pippin, Ava Skinner and Hayden Pippin; and a great-great-grandchild, Colton Shoemaker.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Henry and Avie Stallings; brothers, Grady Stallings, Curtis Stallings, John Albert Stallings, Lavelle Stallings, Roland Stallings and James Vernon Stallings; and two sisters, Lydia Nicholson and Lois Cook.
Visitation will be today, from 5:30 p.m.-9 p.m., at the funeral home.
