Mr. and Mrs. Charles George Bogosian (Mrs. Bogosian is the former Sara Michelle Nicholson)

    Sara Michelle Nicholson and Charles George Bogosian were united in marriage on Saturday, June 25, 2011, at Central United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Dr. Bob Rambo and the Rev. Nick Nicholson officiating.

    Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Chuck Nicholson of Brandon and Dr. and Mrs. Steve Bogosian of Manlius, N.Y.

    Grandparents of the bride are the Rev. and Mrs. Nick Nicholson of Lake Junaluska, N.C., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Earl Ikerd of Friars Point.

    Grandparents of the bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. Ike Bogosian of Massena, N.Y., and the late Mr. and Mrs. George Weir of Lloyd Harbor, N.Y.

    Music for the ceremony was provided by Barry Germany, pianist/organist. Instrumentalists were Susie Johnson, flutist; Benjamin Johnson, cellist; Rich Gaddis, trumpeter and Gail Fox, violinist. Vocalist was Currie Brankstone Gill.

    Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a formal gown with embroidered accents of pearls and sequined, lace appliqués that defined the strapless bodice. The trumpet skirt swept into a cathedral-length train embellished with Swarovski crystals down the back and trimmed with beaded embroidery matching that of the bodice. Her fingertip-length veil was edged with seeded pearls and crystals.  

    The bride carried a classic nosegay of blue hydrangeas, white freesia, roses, and stephanotis and miniature callas, accented with pale green cymbidium orchids and wrapped in an ivory French ribbon. Tucked in her bouquet was her maternal grandmother’s handkerchief.

    Attending the bride as maid of honor was her sister, Kristin Nicholson of Brandon.

    Bridesmaids were Kate Archer of New Orleans, La.; Kelly Brown of Meridian; Amanda Johnston of Madison; and Margaret Bogosian of Burlington, Vt., Elizabeth Bogosian and Grace Bogosian, both of Manlius, sisters of the bridegroom.

    Serving as best man was Daniel McNamara of Bethlehem, Pa.

    Groomsmen were Ben Bogosian of Portland, Ore., and Matthew Bogosian of San Diego, Calif., brothers of the bridegroom; Aaron Bogosian of Massena and Zack Bogosain of Winnipeg Canada, cousins of the bridegroom; Mike McQuatters of Syracuse, N.Y.; and Brendan Tougher of San Francisco, Calif.

    Directing the wedding was Sharon Futch. Scripture readers were Kristina Makey and Lisa Swartzfager. Registry attendant was Caitlyn Mobley, cousin of the bride. Program attendants were Alexa and Chandler Hogan.

    The bride’s parents hosted a reception held at the MSU Riley Center. The Escalade Dance and Show Band of New Orleans provided music.

    On the eve of the wedding, the bridegroom’s parents hosted a dinner at Northwood Country Club for the wedding party, family and friends. On the wedding day, the bridal party was honored with a luncheon at Northwood Country Club. Hostesses were Linda Allred, Mary Hooper and Sharon Pratt.

    After a honeymoon in the Bahamas, the couple resides in Jacksonville, Fla.
