Building build on Cruisin’ The Coast

Harrison County Tourism Director Beth Carriere says she wants to build on the success of Cruisin’ The Coast to draw more repeat visitors to this area.

Carriere told Harrison County supervisors Monday that next year’s event will feature the Gold Wing Riders, a group of motorcycle riders. After that, the riders will be on the Coast the week following Cruisin’.

The Sun Herald reports (http://bit.ly/r9MNLs ) Carriere, who recently was named executive director of the Harrison County Tourism Commission, said this year’s Cruisin’ the Coast had a $20 million economic impact with nearly 5,000 cars and more than 100,000 visitors.
