Mary Frances McDonnell and Benjamin Colburn Snyder of Meridian were married on March 5, 2011, at Central United Methodist Church of Meridian with the Rev. Dr. Robert E. Rambo and Rev. Dr. Rhett G. Payne III officiating the double ring ceremony.

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Archie Reeder McDonnell Jr. of Meridian, and Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Lee Snyder Jr. of Tuscaloosa, Ala.
Grandparents of the bride are the late Mr. and Mrs. Hays McCauley of Philadelphia, Mrs. Archie Reeder McDonnell Sr. and the late Archie Reeder McDonnell Sr. of Meridian.
Grandparents of the bridegroom are Mr. Bobby Lee Snyder Sr. and the late Mrs. Bobby Lee Snyder Sr. of Coker, Ala., and Mrs. Leo Colburn and the late Mr. Leo Colburn of Tuscaloosa, Ala.
Music for the ceremony was provided by Barry Germany, organist and pianist; Ty Maisel and Mera Hall, violinists; Tammy Luke, violist; Stephanie Maisel, cellist; Charles Gates, trumpeter; Susie Johnson, flautist; and vocalists, Virgie Palmer and Suzanne Cain.
The bride, escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents, wore an ivory lace couture gown featuring a sweetheart neckline with contoured lace straps and a beaded band at the empire. Tiers of various patters and widths of laces made up the fit and flared gown ending with a pleated tulle ruffle at the hemline with a sweeping train to chapel length. She wore her mother’s chapel length veil featuring ivory illusion and bordered in Alencon lace. The bride wore a garter made by her mother, from her late grandmother, Mildred McCauley’s wedding veil. She carried a hand-tied bouquet of lavender roses, lisianthus, calla lilies, hydrangeas, freesia and fresh lavender wrapped in a French ribbon which was from a childhood dress made by her mother. Attached were her maternal grandmother’s antique lavender earrings.
Matron of honor was April McDonnell Clodfelter, sister of the bride, of Meridian.

Bridesmaids were Katie Elizabeth Pigford of Meridian, Christen Sky Joiner of Dallas, Texas, Monica Dyan Blassingame of Olive Branch, Dena Marie Miles of Tupelo, Sarah Tartt Hautt of Atlanta, Ga., Amy Wallace Jones of Jackson, Tenn., Lauren Shelton Lowe and Alison Smith Webster of Memphis, Tenn., and Andrea Nason Snyder, sister-in-law- of the bridegroom, of Birmingham, Ala.
Mary Jordan Clodfelter, niece of the bride, served as flower girl.
The groom’s father served as best man.
Groomsmen were brothers of the bridegroom, David Lee Snyder and Mark Andrew Snyder of Birmingham, Ala., Archie Reeder McDonnell III, brother of the bride, Caden McCauley Clodfelter, nephew of the bride, John David Barr and Brandon Christopher Pratt of Meridian, Ragan Elliot Denham of Brandon, John Anthony Kueven of Boston, Mass., and Daniel Lee Daugherty III of Panama City, Fla.
Ushers were Russell Norman Huntley and Travis Michael Huntley of Meridian, Brian Ray Stringer of Brandon, and Joel David Weaver of Southaven.
Addison Hays Clodfelter, nephew of the bride, was ring bearer.
Program attendants were family friends Catherine Leigh Hamburg and Stephanie Michelle Hamburg.
Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents hosted a reception at the Riley Center.
On the eve of the wedding, the bridegroom’s parents entertained the couple, wedding party, family members and out-of-town guests with a catered rehearsal dinner at Union Station. Music was provided by guitarist, Mitch Brantley of Meridian.
Following a honeymoon to the Provence region of France, the couple is at home in Meridian.
