ECCC inducts 95 new Phi Theta Kappa members

- Lauderdale County Students Inducted Into ECCC Phi Theta Kappa These Lauderdale County students were recently inducted into Theta Xi Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, the international honor society for two-year colleges at East Central Community College in Decatur. The purpose of Phi Theta Kappa is to promote scholarship, to develop character and to cultivate fellowship among academically superior students. Membership is by invitation only. To be eligible, students must have earned a 3.5 or better grade point average as a full-time students and have an overall grade point average of 3.5 or better. DECATUR – Theta Xi Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, the international honor society for two-year colleges, recently held induction ceremonies on the East Central Community College campus, where more than 95 students joined the prestigious organization.
The purpose of Phi Theta Kappa is to promote scholarship, to develop character and to cultivate fellowship among academically superior students. Membership is by invitation only. To be eligible, students must have earned a 3.5 or better grade point average as a full-time students and have an overall grade point average of 3.5 or better.
