Services for Anita R. Wells will be held Tuesday at 12:30 p.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Steve Taylor officiating. Burial will be in Old Marion Cemetery.
Mrs. Wells, 87, of the Russell Community, died Friday, April 1, 2011, at Infinity Hospice. She was a member of Russell Baptist Church, where she was formerly a Sunday school teacher and G.A. leader.
Mrs. Wells was co-owner of Wells Furniture Company and had a passion for flowers and animals. She will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother.
Survivors include a daughter, Jaye L. “Johnnie” Raines and her husband, Dr. Milton, of Gulfport; a son, Richard Wells and his wife, Carolyn, of Hattiesburg; three grandchildren, John Davidson of Meridian, Sally Black and her husband, Wayne, of Madison, and Richard Wells Jr. of Hattiesburg; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Monday, from 6 p.m.-8 p.m., at the funeral home.
