Rowell is charged with 25 counts of distributing child porn. He was booked into the Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department with bond set at $25,000 per count, for a total of $500,000.

The Meridian Police Department, Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department and the FBI assisted in the case.

“We appreciate the relationship we have with all of these agencies, particularly through our Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force,” said Attorney General Jim Hood in a news release issued Friday. “Together we are on a mission to put would-be predators out of business.”

If convicted, Rowell faces five to 40 years behind bars on each count.
