Five people were taken into custody this morning by authorities with the MPD after the men allegedly swiped several items of jewelry from a store in the Bonita Lakes Mall. MPD officers chased the suspect car westbound onto Interstate 20 where they got it stopped at near the 22nd Avenue exit. Formal charges are said to be forthcoming later this afternoon.
