MPD detectives have launched a death investigation after the discovery of a body. The deceased, said to be a 53-year old black man, was found Thursday afternoon underneath the 22nd Avenue bridge at North Frontage Road by public service crews as they picked up trash along Sowashee Creek. MPD officials said there is no reason to suspect foul play but the investigation is ongoing. The body was found at about 1:30 p.m.
