According to Meridian Main Street Director John McClure, there will be no changes to the Art Crawl other than the date.
The event will feature a view of local and regional artists’ works, which are available for purchase, refreshments, entertainment, door prizes, and a reception at the Temple Theater with the Jefferson Performing Arts Society of New Orleans. JPAS will be promoting their production of “The Sound of Music,” scheduled for the Temple in April.
Plans call for more than 20 downtown art galleries, retail stores, and restaurants to have an open house from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
The participating venues will display work of regional artists, serve refreshments, and some will provide live music as well. There are also plans for a free shuttle to provide transportation between venues, with a musician performing on the shuttle.
The event is open to the public at no charge.
