Miss Nicholson, Mr. Fries

    Mr. and Mrs. Charles K. Nicholson of Brandon announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Sara Frances Nicholson to Patrick Thomas Fries, son of Mr. and Mrs. David W. Fries of Meridian. 

    The wedding will be Saturday, Dec. 11, 2010, at 10:30 a.m., at Crossgates United Methodist Church in Brandon.

    Miss Nicholson is the granddaughter of Mrs. Jean Nicholson and the late Mr. Charles O. Nicholson of Jackson, and Mrs. Ruth Jernigan and the late Mr. Pat L. Jernigan of Sulphur, La. 

    The bride-elect received a bachelor of science degree in geography from the University of Southern Mississippi and she also earned a master of arts degree in geography from Ohio State University. She is a 2003 graduate of Brandon High School.

    Mr. Fries is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Vincent M. Riccitelli of Phoenix, Ariz., and Mrs. Betty Fries and the late Mr. Louis Q. Fries of Dayton, Ohio. 

    The bridegroom-elect received a bachelor of arts degree in mass communication and journalism from the University of Southern Mississippi. He also holds a master of arts degree in communication from the University of Dayton. He is a 2003 graduate of Calvary Christian School.

    Mr. Fries is a member of the faculty in the Department of Mass Communication at Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, La.

    A reception will be held at the church following the ceremony.
