Elizabeth Anne Busbee of Meridian and Don Tyler Wiggins of DeKalb were married in an afternoon ceremony on Saturday, Sept. 18, 2010, at Central United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Dr. Bob Rambo officiating.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Philip Henry Busbee of Meridian, Mr. Don Wiggins of DeKalb, Ms. Lori Peterson Wiggins of Collinsville and Mr. and Mrs. Randy Scott Nowlan of Bailey.
Grandparents of the bride are Mrs. Pauline Simmons Busbee and the late the Rev. Westley Floyd Busbee Sr. of Meridian and the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Maxey Baker Sr. of Madison.
Grandparents of the bridegroom are the late Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Parish “C.P.” Wiggins of DeKalb and the late Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin William Covert of Meridian.
Music for the ceremony was provided by Mrs. Joyce Tillery, pianist and organist; Mrs. Gail Fox, violinist; Mr. Benjamin Johnson, cellist; Mr. Rich Gaddis, trumpeter; Mrs. Susie Johnson, flutist; and, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Mayfield, vocalists.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a full-length ivory gown of beaded lace appliqué on point d’esprit over luxe satin. The beaded lace appliqué was accented with Swarovski crystals, pearls, beads and silver backed sequins. The gown featured a V-shaped neckline with tiny pearl encrusted straps, a V-shaped back, and a fit and flare silhouette. The delicate detailing continued throughout the sweep train. The fingertip-length veil had a delicate scalloped edge of beads and Swarovski crystals. The bride also wore a headpiece of pearls and Swarovski crystals.
Matron of honor was Mrs. Jennifer Miles Henderson of Montgomery, Ala. Maid of Honor was Miss Jennifer Michelle Massey of Brentwood, Tenn.
Bridesmaids were Mrs. Jennifer Denton Hankins of Brandon; Mrs. Jennifer Collins Karr of Eleanor, West Va.; and, Mrs. Amanda Eason Young of House.
Junior bridesmaids were Miss Dixie Leigh Wiggins and Miss Kylie Dianne Wiggins, daughters of the bridegroom.
The father of the bridegroom served as best man.
Groomsmen were Mr. Kevin James Gregory of Louisville; Mr. Michael Doyle Key of Birmingham, Ala.; Mr. Mitchell Ralph Lewis of Terry; and, Mr. Kyle Robert Wiggins of Meridian, brother of the bridegroom.
Ushers were Dr. Wayne Adams of Collinsville; and Mr. Michael Joseph Busbee, brother of the bride, and Mr. Wesley Stevens, both of Meridian.
Miss Josie Tyler Wiggins and Master Ty Khale Wiggins, daughter and son of the bridegroom, served as flower girl and ring bearer.
Scripture reader was Mr. Michael Joseph Busbee, brother of the bride.
Registry attendant was Miss Lindy Ming Lau. Program attendant was Mrs. Brittany Boles Wiggins.
Wedding director was Mrs. Sabrina Williams.
A reception was held at the church following the ceremony.
On Friday, Sept. 17, a rehearsal was held at the church. Afterwards, friends and family were treated to a dinner in The Central Crossing.
After a honeymoon to The Mexican Riviera, the couple will reside in Meridian, where the bride is communications manager at Anderson Regional Medical Center and the bridegroom is on active duty with the U.S. Air Force.
