Mr. and Mrs. Mike Reed of Scooba announce the engagement of their daughter, Anna Olivia, to Charles Ryan Brown, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Brown of Meridian.

    The wedding will be Saturday, Oct. 2, 2010, at 4 p.m., at Shuqualak Baptist Church, Shuqualak, Miss.

    Miss Reed is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Reed of Shuqualak and the late Dr. and Mrs. Irby of Scooba.

    The bride-elect received a master’s degree in occupational therapy from the University of Mississippi Medical Center and an associate of arts degree from East Mississippi Community College. She is a graduate of Central Academy.

    While attending UMC, she was a member of Pi Theta Epsilon, where she served as vice president.

    Miss Reed is employed by Rush Health Systems.

    Mr. Brown is the grandson of Mrs. Louise Lee and the late Mr. Edgar B. Lee of Collinsville, Mattie Sue Brown of Meridian and the late Mr. Charles A. Brown of Meridian.

    The bridegroom-elect received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Mississippi State University and an associate of arts degree from Meridian Community College. He is a graduate of West Lauderdale High School.

    While attending MSU, he was a member of the Student Association, where he served as vice president.

    Mr. Brown is employed by North American Fire Equipment Company.

    A reception will be held at Cross Mountain Church in Porterville.
