    • 6 p.m. — MHS 1955-1956 Planning Session for our next reunion. We will be meeting at the Meridian Activity Center (Senior Citizens Bldg.) on the third Monday of each month at 6 p.m. to plan for our  next reunion (March or April of 2011). If you were a member of either of these classes, we would love for you to join us & help with all the planning.  This will be our second meeting.

    • Noon — You are cordially invited to attend a Quarterly Meeting of the Clarke County Chamber of Commerce at the Quitman Depot. Lunch will be served. In order to plan for lunch, please call the Chamber office at 601-776-5701 no later than September 16 to make reservations.  If no one is available to take your call, please leave a message.

    • 9 a.m.- 10:30 a.m. — The Sixth Annual Mind Matters Health Fair will open with a special program in the Kahlmus Auditorium, MSU Meridian. The focus of the health fair, which combines mental and physical health, is military and veteran mental health. The featured speaker is Dr. Thomas Kirchberg, Chief Psychologist at the VA Medical Center at Memphis, who will speak on Veteran-related issues. The program is free and open to all.
