Services for Marion Smith Sullivan will be held today at 1 p.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. H.J. Hutchins and Rev. Jack Kern officiating. Burial will be in Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Sullivan, 95, of Bailey, died Wednesday, Sept. 8, 2010 at her residence. She was a member of The Eastern Star. Mrs. Sullivan was a retired bookkeeper with Long Wholesale.
Survivors include nephews: Jack H. Smith and his wife, Clarice of Meridian and Rev. William Gary Smith Sr. and his wife, Bobbie of Carriere; niece, Lorie McElroy of Atlanta, Ga.; great-nieces and nephews, Gail Semmes and her husband, Mickey of Bailey, Jacquelyn Allen and husband, Bland of Athens, Ala., William Gary Smith Jr., Cindy Smith of Carriere, Jonathan Smith and wife, Missy of McNeil, Nelda McCaslin and son, Jeff of Fayettville, Ga., Jim McElroy and wife, Amber of Atlanta, Jay McElroy of Bailey; several great-great nieces and nephews; special friends and caregivers, Dorothy Dearman, Shirley Harris and Helen McElhenney; and, family at Bethel Southern Methodist Church, Prismatic.
She was preceded in death by her husband, H.C. Sullivan and parents G.W. “Bud” and Pearl Smith.
Pallbearers will be Michael Semmes, Jeff McCaslin, Jeffrey Murphy, Marlan Murphy and Jay McElroy.
Honorary pallbearers are Mickey Semmes, Bland Allen, William Gary Smith, Jr., Jack Edward Frasier, Jonathan Lee Smith, Seth Smith, Bruce Smith, Jim McElroy, John Lynn Lisenbee, and Glenn Murphy.
