Buffalo Wild Wings flies into Meridian

    If stuffing yourself with a wide assortment of specialty buffalo wing dishes and a cold drink while watching sports with friends is your idea of a fun evening, then Meridian, get ready for some wings!

    Lala Enterprises and PK Wings, a Laurel-based company, have announced that Buffalo Wild Wings, winner of scores of best wings and best sports bar awards, is opening its newest location in Meridian in December 2010. Buffalo Wild Wings is the destination for wing fanatics and sports fans alike and continues to prove to its guests again and again that “You Have to Be Here”  to experience the food, the sports and the fun, energetic atmosphere.  

    “We are very excited to bring the Buffalo Wild Wings experience to Meridian and we look forward to becoming a part of this dynamic community,” said Amit Patel, president of PK Wings, Inc, the local franchisee group who will own and operate the restaurant as a joint venture with Lala Enterprises.

    Patel’s statement came in a press release issued Thursday.

    The Meridian Buffalo Wild Wings will feature seven big screens and 50 wall-to-wall HD TVs for ultimate event and sports viewing.

    “The City of Meridian is thrilled to welcome Buffalo Wild Wings to our wonderful city,” said Mayor Cheri Barry in the press release. “The restaurant’s opening is part of the city’s ongoing focus on attracting new restaurants and businesses to Meridian, creating new jobs, and increasing the city’s revenue base.”

    Buffalo Wild Wings is known for its 14 signature sauces, making its wings and other menu items customizable creations.

    The Meridian Buffalo Wild Wings will be located on Hwy 11 & 80, in front of Cracker Barrel. The restaurant will begin accepting online applications for all management and hourly positions immediately at http://www.JoinTeamBWW.com.

    The restaurant plans to hire more than 100 employees prior to its grand opening.
