    Blair Johnson of Meridian and Seth Waggoner of Carthage were united in marriage on Saturday, Dec. 5, 2009, at First Baptist Church of Carthage. The Rev. Ric White, cousin of the bridegroom, conducted the ceremony.

    Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Jerry L. Johnson of Meridian and Sherriff and Mrs. Greg Waggoner of Carthage.

    Grandparents of the bride are Mrs. Ramoth Johnson and the late Dempsey L. Johnson of Carthage and Mrs. Blanche Clay and the late Tom L. Clay of DeKalb.

    Grandparents of the bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. Joe Mack Thaggard of Madden and the late Mr. and Mrs. Fred Waggoner.

    Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore an ivory fitted formal gown, trimmed with lace appliqués and accented with lace cap sleeves and a sweetheart neckline. Her chapel-length veil was edged in lace matching her gown. The bride carried an heirloom handkerchief and a bouquet of amaryllises and calla lilies, accented with a butterfly broach in memory of Ms. Lacie Culpepper, cousin of the bridegroom and friend of the bride.

    Matron of honor was Mrs. Heather J. Watkins, sister of the bride.

    Other attendants were Mrs. Hailey Johnson and Ms. Rachel Clay, both of DeKalb, Ms. Bethany Hawkins of Athens, Ga., Mrs. Laurin McCombs of Carthage and Ms. Melissa Rouse of Natchez.

    The father of the bridegroom served as best man.

    Groomsmen were Matt Johnson, brother of the bride, Luke Culpepper, cousin of the bridegroom, Clay McCombs and Flint Minshew, both of Carthage, and Justin Juarbe of New York, N.Y.

    Ushers were Brian Albin and Shane Fisher, both of Ridgeland, Brian Sullivan of Gulfport and Alan Davis of Oxford. 

    Flower girl was Lorelai Albin.

    Ring bearer was Hayz Johnson, nephew of the bride.

    Krissy and Lindsey Watkins, nieces of the bride, attended the guest registry and programs.

    Wedding directors were Mrs. Janice King and Mrs. Pam Hopkins.

    Music for the ceremony was provided by Amy Hunt, vocalist, and Gimmie Gail Nazary, pianist.

    A formal reception was held at the church fellowship hall, followed by a casual luau at Leake County Country Club.
