    At 4 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 19, 2009, Emily Greer Fleming of Quitman and Mathew Kyle Odom of Stonewall were married at Center Ridge Baptist Church in Carmichael with the Rev. Jim Manning and the bride’s father, the Honorable Toney Fleming officiating.

    Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Toney Fleming of Quitman, Mr. and Mrs. William Artigue of Stonewall and Mr. and Mrs. Keith Odom of Quitman.

    Grandparents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Slay of Quitman, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Brashier of Quitman and the late Robert (Bo) Fleming of Quitman.

    Grandparents of the bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. Keith Ledbetter of Stonewall and the late James E. Odom of Stonewall.

    Music for the ceremony was provided by Diane Holloman, pianist, and Allison Porter and Brett Barnes, vocalists.

    Given in marriage by her grandfather, the bride wore a designer diamond white and silver bridal gown featuring a soft tulle overlay with delicate beading and scattered lace appliqués throughout. Her veil was shoulder-length with hand-sewn crystal edging. She carried a bouquet of white calla lilies.

    Matron of honor was Holli Fleming of Quitman, sister-in-law of the bride. Maid of honor was Sarah Whaley of Quitman.

    Bridesmaids were Kelsey Artigue and Jordon Odom of Stonewall, sisters of the bridegroom, Sarah Stallings of Shubuta and Rachel Whaley of Quitman.

    Bijou Proctor of Atlanta, Ga., cousin of the bride, served as flower girl.

    Tristin Odom, brother of the bridegroom, served as ring bearer.

    The father of the bridegroom and William Artigue, stepfather of the bridegroom, served as best men.

    Groomsmen were Grant Fleming, brother of the bride, Trent Brashier of Stonewall, Bo Davis of Quitman and Desmond Ferrill of Enterprise.

    Wedding directors were Beth Fleming and Kaye Mosley. Program attendant was Emily Odom of Waynesboro. Greeters were Mr. and Mrs. Larry Fleming.

    Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents hosted a reception at the VFW building in Quitman.

    On the eve of the wedding, the bridegroom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at the Depot in Quitman.

    The couple currently resides at Fort Polk, La., where the bridegroom is a specialist in the U.S. Army and the bride is pursuing a degree in education at Northwestern State University.
