Alene Robertson Chatam

    Alene Robertson Chatam, of Overland Park, Kansas, formerly of Meridian, died peacefully Thursday, June 10, 2010.

    She is survived by her son, Jerry Chatam and wife, Jody of Overland Park, Kansas; grandson, Blake Newell; granddaughter, Shannon Noller and husband, Gabe; three great grandchildren, Eva, Jaxon, and Kohen all of Overland Park, Kansas; sisters, Christine Robertson Richardson of Preston, Lorene Robertson White of Charlotte, N.C., and Verdine Robertson Jones of Ridgeland, as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.

    Mrs. Chatam was born on February 13, 1924 in Philadelphia, Ms and was the daughter of the late Osbon and Dora Peden Robertson. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Henry Wayne Chatam; sisters, Sally Robertson Daniel and Annie Robertson Murphy; and brothers, Will, Henry, and Thomas Robertson.

    Mrs. Chatam was a gentle, loving, Christian wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend. Her family and friends remember her as someone who was always positive and kind hearted. Her sense of humor and wit delighted those who loved her. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

    A Celebration of her life will be held Tuesday, June 15, 2010 at 10 a.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel in Meridian followed by burial in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
