    Mr. and Mrs. William Nichols Phillips of Madison announce the engagement of Mallory Brooke Magro to Matthew Elliott Thompson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Thompson of Madison. Miss Magro is the daughter of Mrs. Phillips and the late Michael Lawrence Magro.

    The wedding will take place Saturday, June 26, 2010, at Madison United Methodist Church.

    The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. Charles Dean Benge of Madison and Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Thomas Bryant of Canton, Mr. Charles Joseph Magro of Florence, Ala. and Mrs. Carol Lee Magro of Ridgeland.

    The bridegroom-elect is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Warren Briscoe Brown of Meridian and Mrs. Bonnie Crawford James, also of Meridian, and Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Simeon Thompson of Atlanta, Ga.

    Miss Magro graduated from the University of Mississippi in 2008 and received a bachelor of science degree in communicative disorders. She is currently pursuing a master of science degree in speech language pathology at the University of Alabama. She is a 2004 graduate of Madison Central High School.

    Mr. Thompson attended the University of Mississippi. He is a 2004 graduate of Madison Central High School.

    He is currently employed with Biomet of Memphis, Tenn.

    A reception will follow at The Country Club of Jackson.
