Mr. and Mrs. Barry Kendall Ward Jr. (Mrs. Ward is the former Elizabeth Ann Smith)

    Elizabeth Ann Smith of Collinsville and Barry Kendall Ward Jr. of Philadelphia were married on Saturday, Sept. 26, 2009, at First Pentecostal Church of Philadelphia with the Rev. Tim Vowell officiating.

    Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Connie Mack Smith of Collinsville, Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Price and Mr. and Mrs. Barry Kendall Ward Sr. all of Philadelphia.

    Grandparents of the bride are the late Mr. and Mrs. Phil Benjamin Smith and the late Mr. Jim Tucker and Mrs. Fannie E. Long.

    Grandparents of the bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. Leon Myers and Mrs. Earline Ward, all of Philadelphia, and the late Mr. Willis Ward.

    Music for the ceremony was provided by Shanna Lowery, pianist, Hannah Ward, pianist, and Heather Pope, vocalist.

    Given in marriage by her parents, the bride wore an organza gown in ivory featuring a strapless, modified sweetheart neckline. Crystals and bugle beads embellished the fitted bodice which met a full organza skirt. Tiered ruffles complimented the back of the gown flowing into a chapel length train.

    Maid of honor was Hannah Renea Ward of Philadelphia, daughter of the groom.

    Matron of honor was Cheryl Goodman Reid of Oxford.

    Bridesmaids were Jennifer Smith Wagner of Collinsville and Janet Smith Goforth of Little Rock, sisters of the bride, Anita Herrington Kinard of Meridian and Anna Lynn Wagner of Collinsville, niece of the bride.

    Edi Elizabeth Smith of Collinsville, niece of the bride, served as flower girl.

    Best man was Barry Elijah Ward of Philadelphia, son of the bridegroom.

    Groomsmen were Stephen Curtis of Philadelphia, Brock Kendall Ward of Louisville, brother of the bridegroom, Billy Mack Kinard of Meridian, and Justin Scott Kinard and Richard Tucker Wagner, both of Collinsville, nephews of the bride.

    A reception was held at the church following the ceremony. Assisting were Melissa Ferguson, sister of the bridegroom, Michelle McDonald, Judy Reid and Rita Watkins.

    Bubble girls were Olivia Brackeen, Claudia Brackeen and Sarah Grace Brackeen. Miriam Ferguson, niece of the bridegroom, attended the guest registry and programs.

    Wedding director was Lyn Vowell.

    After a honeymoon in the Florida Keys, the couple resides in Philadelphia.
