Miss Wise, Mr. Thorne

         

    Yancy and Donna Wise of Picayune announce the engagement of their daughter, Danae Wise, to David Thorne, son of Gary and Brenda Thorne of Hickory.

    The wedding will be Saturday, April 17, 2010, at 4 p.m. at Goodyear Baptist Church in Picayune.

    Miss Wise is the granddaughter of Mrs. Marie Cuevas of Picayune and the late Mr. Donnis Cuevas, Mr. Artis Wise and Mrs. Juanita Wise, all of Picayune.

    The bride-elect is a graduate of Pearl River Community College, where she received an associate’s degree in applied science. She is a graduate of Picayune Memorial High School.

    While attending Pearl River Community College, she was a member of Phi Theta Kappa.

    Miss Wise is employed by Select Medical Rehabilitation Services.

    Mr. Thorne is the grandson of Hancel and Roberta Thorne of Hickory and Edwin and Jeanette Robinson of Hickory.

    The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of Mississippi College, where he received a bachelor’s degree in music education. He is a graduate of Newton County High School.

    While attending Mississippi College, he was a member of the Mississippi College Singers and Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia.

    Mr. Thorne is employed by Uni-Copy Technologies.

    A reception will be held at The Knights of Columbus in Picayune.

    Family and friends are invited to attend.
