Rush Health Systems announces administrative changes

    Rush Health Systems has announced several management changes within its regional health care organization.

    Wallace Strickland, Chief Executive Officer of Rush Health Systems, is pleased to announce Chuck Reece has been named President and Chief Executive Officer of Rush Foundation Hospital, Medical Foundation, Inc., The Specialty Hospital of Meridian, Laird Hospital, Inc., H.C. Watkins Memorial Hospital, and Scott Regional Hospital. Reece will continue to serve as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Rush Health Systems and its other entities.

    Reece joined Rush in 1997, most recently serving as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of all entities.  He is married to Mitzi Reece with two children and three grandchildren. Reece received his Executive Masters of Business Administration from Vanderbilt University.  He is an Elder of First Presbyterian Church and is an incoming member of the East Mississippi Business Development Corporation Board of Directors. He has served on the Board of Directors for the Choctaw Area Council Boy Scouts and Habitat for Humanity.

    According to Reece, Tim Moore has been appointed Executive Vice President  and Chief Operating Officer of Rush Foundation Hospital, Scott Regional Hospital, Laird Hospital, The Specialty Hospital of Meridian, and H.C. Watkins Hospital.  Additionally, Moore will coordinate the operational start-up of the John C. Stennis Memorial Hospital, a new Critical Access Hospital in Kemper County.

    Moore has 13 years of service with Rush Health Systems.  He holds a Masters in Healthcare Administration from the University of New Orleans. He is active in the community serving on the Boards of Trustmark National Bank, Hope Village for Children, The Red Cross, Briarwood Country Club, and Mississippi Hospital Association.  He is married to Janice Moore and they have two sons.

    Chris Rush has been appointed Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Rush Medical Group and Medical Foundation, Inc.  His duties will include administrative responsibilities for all clinic operations and Physician Recruiting.

    Rush has been in healthcare administration for 6 years.  He holds a Masters of Business Administration and Masters in International Affairs from the American University.  Rush is a Board Member of the State Games of Mississippi.  He is married to Mary Rush, they have a daughter and are expecting their second child in March.

    Nina Dusang, Chief Financial Officer for Rush Health Systems and its entities will assume responsibilities for the daily activities of Corporate Materials Management.

    Dusang has been with Rush for 7 years, and previously held the position of Vice President of Operations for Rush Foundation Hospital. Dusang holds a Masters of Business Administration from Mississippi State University and is a Certified Public Accountant.  She is an active partner in the community having served on multiple community boards.  She is currently a board member and officer of the Mississippi Arts and Entertainment Center.  She is married to Pat Dusang and they have two daughters.

    Fred Rogers, Chief Resource Officer for Rush Health Systems, will serve as Project Manager for the construction of the John C. Stennis Memorial Hospital a new Critical Access Hospital in Kemper County and other development projects currently being planned.  In addition to his service as Chief Resource Officer, Rogers will continue in the role of Corporate Contracting and Facilities Management. 

    Rogers has been with Rush for 15 years.  He is active in the community serving on the Choctaw Area Council of Boy Scouts Board of Directors, Salvation Army Board of Directors, and is President of the East Mississippi Correctional Facility Board.  He is married to Barbara Rogers and they have three daughters and two grandchildren.

    Donnie Smith, Vice President, Human Resources and Public Relations for Rush Health Systems will coordinate the enhanced marketing and promotional activities of Rush Health Systems.

    Smith has been with Rush for 12 years.  He has been an active partner in the community serving on numerous boards and leadership roles.  Currently, Smith is serving as Vice-Chairman, for the Meridian Housing Authority, and on the Board of The United Way of East Mississippi. Smith holds a Masters of Business Administration from Mississippi State University. He is married to Betty Smith.

    Jason Payne has been promoted to Director of Ancillary and Support Services for Rush Foundation Hospital.  He previously served as Director of Pharmacy at Rush Foundation Hospital. 

    Payne has been with Rush for 4 years. He holds a Masters of Business Administration from Millsaps.  He is a current participant in Leadership Lauderdale and assists with local Cub Scout troops.
