YORK, Ala. – Graveside services for Johnny Bill “Billy” Mitchell will be held today at 11:30 a.m. at Cokes Chapel Cemetery in Ward with Revs. Albert Creel and Terry Hamrick officiating. Bumpers Funeral Home of York is in charge of arrangements.

    Mr. Mitchell, 85, of Ward, died Monday, January 25, 2010, at his residence. He was also a World War II U.S. Navy Veteran.

    Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Doris Harwell Mitchell of Ward; and one brother, Gilbert Mitchell of Warrington, Va.

    Visitation will be today, from 10 a.m.-11 a.m. at Bumpers Funeral Home in York.
